Hotel North - North Sydney

I faced significant delays in getting service at the restaurant. It took ages for my order to be taken, frustrating. The room décor felt dated, and the amenities could use a refresh. The heating system worked fine, but the overall experience fell short of expectations.

The service was exceptional as we had expected. The restaurant here was very clean with a beautiful view, we both ordered appetising dishes. The staff was supper friendly they made our stay a good experience. The location was particularly good with lovely views.

Nicely furnished good-sized room, central heating, multi-channel TV and a fridge were appreciated. Location: the hotel was really close to the ferry to NL and bus terminals and a restaurant in the area.

Quiet rooms with large space for family stays. Views of the harbor are a bonus.

Encountered a billing mix-up that required me to check my credit card statement after leaving. The restaurant service left much to be desired, with long hold times on calls. Room décor felt bland and uninviting, with pale blue walls devoid of any art.

Great location, slightly above the Fahrhafens. Nice view. Good starting point for day trips. Friendly and helpful staff

The hotel is located on a hill right next to the ferry port and is therefore the ideal place to stay before or after the crossing to or from Newfoundland. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. From the restaurant you can enjoy a beautiful view of the harbour.

My stay was primarily a transit stay as I was catching the ferry to Newfoundland. The room was spacious and very clean, which made settling in comfortable. I particularly appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. They were able to accommodate me before the regular check-in time, which was a blessing after a long drive. The hotel offers a great location that is just a short drive away from several local attractions, including the Sydney Mines Heritage Museum and Stubbert's Point Battery. It was a pleasant experience.

The wait for service in the restaurant was quite lengthy. It took too long to have my order taken, which impacted my overall dining experience.

Great location next to the NS-NL ferry made it easy to catch the boat. My room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view of the water. Parking right outside the window was super convenient. The heating system worked well, keeping the room cozy. The beds felt outdated and a bit uncomfortable. I noticed that the air conditioning unit filters clearly needed cleaning, they were quite dusty, which raised some concerns about hygiene, especially during flu season. The restaurant service during breakfast was lacking. I waited too long for menus and the food was cold when it arrived. Little things like these could easily. I appreciated the pleasant atmosphere and the staff's effort, even though some aspects were disappointing.

The hotel has been entirely renovated and offers a very clean and modern environment, including a tastefully decorated restaurant with delicious food.
